After 30 years in business, we have partnerships with businesses in Sussex and beyond and your desired additions are often easy for us to come by. We will be happy to advise, assist and supply any special requirement, and at a price that’s right.

How long will my marquee take to assemble and dismantle?

This will depend on factors from marquee size and extras to the venue conditions. 
For a single marquee with linings and floor, we usually allow one to two days for installation and making sure everything is perfect for you. If you have special requirements, we can install mid-week allowing you more time to add the finishing touches. 
When the event is over, most marquees can be dismantled in one day.

What size are the marquees?

ABC Marquees can provide marquees and tents of almost any size, from just 3m x 3m to huge marquees for national events and public attractions.

Does it matter if my marquee location is not level?

We can overcome most ground conditions. If the marquee is to be situated on a steep gradient then a scaffolding base may be needed. If you are concerned, please contact us and we can arrange a free, no obligation site visit to check ground conditions at your proposed site.

How do you supply power to the marquee?

In the majority of cases, we supply power cables that will connect to the nearest available power source – within reason of course! Load permitting, your marquee can be sufficiently powered this way, and this method of power supply is included in the cost of your marquee hire. 
For external and rural locations where mains power is not available, we can provide a generator to power your event.

How do your marquees stand up to the British weather?

We install marquees in all weather conditions and at all times of the year!  The canvas of the marquee is coated with PVC ensuring you stay dry no matter what the weather is doing outside. For autumn and winter events, we recommend the use of our wooden flooring to make sure you stay dry underfoot.

Will we need a heater?

In the summer months, a heater is not normally needed. For other times of the year we can supply and install efficient indirect LPG heaters, if required, to make sure all your guests are comfortable in the marquee.
We recommend considering the predicted weather and time of year, the type of event (activity level) and the demographic of your guests, and can advise further if required.

What insurance do we need?

We have public liability insurance to the value of £10,000,000. The client is responsible for equipment when the equipment is on hire.  We can arrange insurance cover for the equipment for you whilst it is on hire if this is something you require. 

What areas do we cover?

ABC Marquees work mainly within the South East, UK – Sussex, Kent, Surrey, Hampshire and Berkshire – but are happy to quote for weddings and events further afield.
If you would like a marquee or ice rink hire outside of these areas, not a problem! We often travel further afield to assemble parties and events, so just get in touch!
